Welcome to the fourth edition of E-news. The VRQA’s role is to provide regulation that ensures quality in education and training in Victoria and to promote informed choice for education and training consumers. This edition focuses on the changes in governance that have recently taken place at the VRQA, in response to the changing circumstances in all sectors of education and training in Victoria.

You can read about the recent appointments of new members to the VRQA Board. All new members have qualifications and experience to contribute to the VRQA Board as it faces the challenge of maintaining a robust regulatory system that demonstrates learning from the recent Financial Health Assessments and the Rapid Audit Program.

In addition, you can read about the new VRQA Strategic Plan for 2010 – 2011, which sets out our priorities for the next twelve months and into the future. Our new governance model will enable the Board to directly monitor progress and ensure focus of resources on the new priorities.
